Anthony Morrison | Owner, Founder, Chief Executive Officer | Signpreneur Design Services LLC

Attributing his ability to thrive in the design industry to his unwavering perseverance and determination to overcome obstacles, Anthony Morrison has excelled as a senior graphic designer at Element EGD, LLC since 2015 and is the owner, founder, and Chief Executive Officer at Signpreneur Design Services LLC—through which he helps sign companies, design specialists, and business owners. Marked by an impressive longevity, his career began in 1997 at Chandler Signs LLP, where he worked as a sign engineer and graphic designer over the course of 10 years. He subsequently served as a graphic designer at ASI Signage and Security Signs before advancing to senior graphic designer at Tube Art Group and Ramsay Signs.

Mr. Morrison’s gravitation toward architecture can be traced back to his high school years, specifically to a drafting class he took in 1991. Prior to enrolling in this course, he had no knowledge of this particular field of study. Initially, he assumed that drafting was akin to drawing, given his prior affinity for the latter. However, he quickly discovered the technical nature of the subject matter, which he initially found tedious. Nevertheless, he persevered, and his interest was piqued when he was tasked with drafting a house design. The experience inspired him to delve deeper into the world of architecture, during which he discovered the works of Frank Lloyd Wright, an architect whose style he greatly admired. Upon graduating from high school, he pursued his passion by attending High Tech Institute, where he obtained an Associate of Graphic Design and Architectural Drafting in 1997.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Morrison has invested more than 100,000 hours in designing signage and related pursuits. As a testament to his skills, he has been recognized with awards for drawing and architecture by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Looking ahead, he strives to expand his business modestly over the next five years—while he doesn’t envision growing his firm to a large scale, he hopes to reach a point where he can select the projects he works on and employ an additional designer to assist with lower-priority tasks. He also wants to have a full-time administrative professional on staff to help manage the business side of his operations. He ultimately aims to gain the freedom to travel and engage in pursuits that will inspire his work and drive his creativity.
